Compared to the gas powered scooter, an electric scooter is safer for kids’ use because they don’t have to keep revving the machine to hold speed. Just turn key and twist the handle and away it goes. With speeds up to 15 miles per hour the pocket mod electric scooter is a ball to ride but not so fast to be dangerous like their larger and bigger cousins. Mechanically the electric motor is much easier to maintain than gas powered models.
Among the portable and compact scooter type vehicles we have today, perhaps there is none the safer for kids than an electric scooter or more specifically the pocket mod electric scooter.
Kids find that electric scooters are very easy to use and do not require gas to run – with price of gas these days pocket mod electric scooters are definitely the way to go. If the battery weakens, all you have to do is plug the unit to an electrical outlet for a few hours and it’s ready for the next use.

I bought this for Christmas for my 10 yr old. He rides it every day. It goes quite fast and holds the charge for approx 45 minutes. It goes over dirt and grass equally well and uphill with ease. I have to say that I sneak rides on it myself when he is at school. I am 5ft 10 and can fit on it with no problem. I can see that he will be riding it for years to come! and so will I!

My teenage daughter wanted one of these, and is now very happy with it.
It has a surprising amount of pep, enough speed, and handles well. It will supposedly handle the weight of an adult, (220 lbs) and was still peppy with me on it.

currie gt 500 electric scooter. we put 2 24 volt packs together and made this. it didn’t go very much faster, but i think it was because the second pack wasn’t fully charged.
